Our First Ethiopian Meal!!

Well, we're down to LESS THAN A MONTH!!!! Our focus has shifted from the big planning stuff - like tickets and housing - to what to pack and other little details. That's making it seem more real. I finally feel like this isn't just a far off trip...it's starting to really sink in that we're going, God willing.
Along with all the planning, our team has also been doing some bonding. We went to an Ethiopian restaurant and had our first taste of injera, which is like a sourdough crepe. You use it to scoop up the food - no utensils here! Then we did some epic bonding: a little hot tubbing, a little pool, and a lot of playing in the snow! We're really starting to come together as a team, and I'm excited to spend January all together!

Well, it still hasn't quite sunk in for me where I'll be in January, and probably won't until I'm stepping off the plane. Tina has assured me she would not judge me if I had an emotional breakdown...or two or three. I am excited though, I really just want to see a country who's topography is so different from ours. I think our team has grown pretty close, and I'm excited to see how much closer we'll get come January. Grayson
Hi again! So, we've been planning for awhile now, and we hit our first few speed bumps. Thanks to all of you who prayed for one of our team member's passports - it finally came!!!! So that's a major praise, because now we can get on booking flights. We're getting excited to see Africa. So thanks for keeping us in your prayers! We'll keep you all posted :)

Hi all!!!
First blog post!!! :D This marks the start of our actual planning for these missions trips, and it's already been a bit of a roller coaster. It seems pretty overwhelming at this point to book all our flights and figure out accommodations, so that's something you guys can be praying for if you think of it. But I'm getting really excited, especially after talking to some people who have been there and have some pretty awesome stories about places we could go. Hearing about all the different ministries that are centered in Addis Ababa makes me really excited to get over there and experience the city. And Grayson's really stoked for the food ;)
